Why a Parish Offertory Program?
In 2018, the Bishop’s Financial Recovery Task Force made a recommendation that the diocese arrange for an offertory enhancement campaign in all thirty-five parishes with Bannon and Associates as campaign consultant.
In the fall of 2018, the Parish Offertory Program began in all thirty-five parishes with the following goals:
2024 Parish Offertory Enhancement Program: "Prayerful Giving"
As Pastoral Leaders, continuing our annual Parish Offertory Enhancement Program is vital in sustaining our mission and ensuring fiscal stability, all while meeting the evangelization and other significant needs of our parishes and school communities. It is, in short, how we keep faith with our parishioners.
"Grateful Givers" is our thematic way of capturing the importance of our Parish Offertory Program. All that we have is a gift from God, and good stewardship calls us to share our gifts of time, talent, and treasure. Sacrificial giving of our “treasure” is one tangible way to offer thanks to God for the many blessings that have been bestowed upon us. Indeed, giving with gratitude is truly faith in action! Our boundless gratitude to the many parishioners who continue to support the Mission of our diocese through their generous and annual offertory giving.
To ensure the success of the Parish Offertory program, it is critical that each Pastor / Parish Administrator / Parish Life Coordinator and one or more of the following individuals attend a Zoom Parish Offertory Enhancement workshops listed below:
· Parochial Vicar
· Deacon
· Business Manager
· Campaign Coordinator (Parish Staff or Volunteer)
