In a joyful affirmation that the marriage of a man and woman is a pilgrimage of hope, the Bishops of California have declared Saturday, July 26, 2025, the Jubilee of Marriage, to be celebrated as part of the Church’s broader Pilgrims of HopeJubilee Year. This special day honors married couples as “pilgrims of hope” and encourages those who aspire to the sacrament of marriage. They are a profound sign of hope for both the Church and the world.
Bishop Myron J. Cotta encourages all parishes in the Diocese of Stockton to call attention to the Jubilee of Marriage on the weekend of Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27, 2025. Here are  a few ways to do this:
DURING MASS

• Pray the Radiate Love Prayer for Marriage at the end of Masses. Click to download.
• Highlight married couples as “pilgrims of hope” and encourage those who aspire to the sacrament of marriage in the homily and Prayers of the Faithful.

SUGGEST COUPLES

• Pray Together Seek the intercession of SS. Anne and Joachim, the parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary whose feast day in July 26.
• Share a Special Meal Host a family dinner, look through wedding photos, and reflect on how your marriage has shaped your lives, your faith, and your family’s journey.
• Serve Together Take part in a family service project that reflects the love at the heart of your marriage. Volunteering in your parish to help those in need, as well as participating in other worthwhile works of mercy, are powerful expressions of married and family love that overflow into society.

En una gozosa afirmación de que el matrimonio entre un hombre y una mujer es una peregrinación de esperanza, los obispos de California han declarado el Sábado 26 de julio de 2025 como el Jubileo del Matrimonio, que se celebrará como parte del Año Jubilar de los Peregrinos de Esperanza de Iglesia. El voluntariado en su parroquia para ayudar a los necesitados, así como la participación en otras obras de misericordia valiosas, son expresiones poderosas del amor conyugal y familiar que se desbordan en la sociedad.
