This year, the Stockton Diocese has been blessed to welcome five teaching fellows from across the nation to serve as K-12 educators. From as far as Rhode Island, college graduates who represent a variety of disciplines commit to two years of service, professional development, community life, and spiritual growth. Upon program completion, they leave with a tuition-free Master of Education degree from Notre Dame, eligibility for teaching licensure, and a priceless experience.
"ACE Teaching Fellows, an AmeriCorps Indiana and Serve Indiana program, seeks to develop a cohort of highly motivated and committed educators to meet the needs of our country's K-12 Catholic schools. Established in 1993, ACE now places approximately 180 young professionals in 140+ parochial schools throughout the United States."
After graduating this past summer, former ACEr, Jenna Budicini, is continuing her teaching journey in our Diocese. A Fourth-grade teacher at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School in Modesto, Jenna brings a "passion for teaching and love for her students [that] shines in everything she does."
Our Catholic School community is grateful for ACEr's past and present who have served families with such passion and commitment.
